Implementing MALDI

dots-mapsciences

MALDI is Matrix Assisted Laser Desorption Ionisation mass spectrometry. By firing a laser at a sample MALDI
can separate and analyse proteins and other molecules blood or urine.

These molecules can tell us a lot about your health or the health of your baby.

Robust Technology

This robust bench-top reader is simple to use and supercedes previous models that required much larger space to operate in.

Rapid Results

Unlike genetic testing that can take several days or weeks,MALDI can analyse a sample in under 20 minutes.

Combined Testing

MALDI is able to analyse multiple markers, meaning results can be combined without the need to re-analyse or take more samples.

Simple Sampling

A pin prick of blood or a urine spot sample is enough for MAKDI to provide comprehensive analysis of a sample. There aren’t any needles, hospital visits or tubes of blood.

Affordable Pricing

MALDI is so sensitive that only nanolitre sample volumes are required. This keeps reagent costs really low and we can pass those savings on to patients.

Neural Network

Our MALDI readers are connected to our network over the cloud. This means that your sample can be compared to millions of pieces of data on a neural network which learns and improves as it analyses.
